I would like to know where Mr. Green stands on Mental Health I was raised in Oklahoma I moved to Arkansas in 2016 and was quiet impressed with how there state medicaid program worked for families and even more impressive was the Mental Health services. I moved home three years ago quiet frankly it is embarassing the condition of just about everything in Oklahoma Our Health Care in all medical field, the education system is horrible. Growing up here I just never understood why it is not 100% mandatory when building or installing new homes to have either a cellar, basement or safe room. What is his stance on pro-life /pro-choice. I am pro choice reasons why 1). rape of any kind at any age.
2). How many Children are in Orphanages or foster homes and have been since birth everyday people do not look at those numbers and the adoption costs in this country upwards of $60k
3). Laws shouldn't be enforced upon the mother if they are not going to be forced upon the father, afterall mo.didn't get pregnant by herself.
Child support in Oklahoma what is it there for please interview me over my experience, we could write a book. On a good note we've risen up the ranks on our Bridges, now if only there was away to assist and enforce that cities, towns and counties stop building things like a million dollars for new gymnasiums, or rectifying statues or monuments etc.. that is not actually needed intead of actually removing and building alot of places here do not seem to comprehind or know the definition of the word infrastructure includes ROADS
Answer:
Hi Melissa,
Thank you so much for reaching out and for sharing your perspective. You’ve raised several important issues that I agree are at the heart of why Oklahoma has fallen behind.
On Mental Health & Healthcare: I share your concern. Oklahoma’s mental health system is underfunded, under-resourced, and failing far too many families. I believe mental health is health care, and it should be treated with the same urgency as physical health. We need to expand access, invest in community-based services, and make sure families don’t have to choose between paying bills and getting care. What you saw in Arkansas proves it can be done better, and I believe Oklahoma deserves that, too.
On Pro-Choice / Pro-Life: I believe deeply in protecting women’s rights and bodily autonomy. Like you, I know that situations like rape, incest, or threats to the mother’s health should never be left up to politicians, they are personal and often heartbreaking decisions. I also agree that we need to face the reality of our foster care and adoption systems. It is irresponsible to force births without ensuring children will have safe, supportive homes. Fathers must also be held accountable, it takes two to create life, and laws must reflect that.
On Infrastructure & Priorities: You’re right, too often, money is wasted on things that look good in a press release instead of what people actually need. Infrastructure isn’t statues or vanity projects, it’s safe roads, bridges, schools, storm shelters, and hospitals. When I’m in office, I will fight to make sure taxpayer dollars go toward the essentials that protect and improve our daily lives.
Oklahoma has all the potential in the world, but we’ve been held back by leaders who prioritize culture wars over solutions. My campaign is about putting people first, fixing healthcare, strengthening education, investing in infrastructure, and making government accountable to the people again.
Thank you for sharing your story and perspective, it means a lot, and I would love to sit down and hear more of your experiences, especially with child support and the challenges you’ve faced. Voices like yours are exactly what we need to build a better future for Oklahoma.
